One of the big plus of virtually flying with real life pilots and military personnel is that you can wake up a Saturday early morning and have some of them improvise a crash-course about interesting topics. This is the case that lead to this Introduction to Instrument Approach video.
The following is a great “first look” to the argument. Especially the NPA, acronym for Non-Precision Approach (for instance by means of TACAN), can be easily applied to DCS. Although more advanced than other topics I discussed about (such as Basic Radio Comms for online servers such as Georgia At War), DeMonteur’s explanation makes it quite understandable and immediate.
Unfortunately it doesn’t mean that replicating it in low-visibility conditions it’s an easy task!
